The Sisters Project

Picture the Possibilities: Muslimah Photovoice Project
An opportunity for young Muslim women in high school to connect, develop self-expression through photography, and exhibit their work in the community, using Photovoice to build connections.

Examination of stereotyping in Disney’s animated cartoon Aladdin.
Survey of Canadian Muslims
A national survey of Muslims in Canada, in partnership with The Environics Institute.
Curriculum Pack
A curriculum pack that would accompany a series of videos to be implemented in classrooms in the public school system.
Mosque One
An oral history and archival project documenting Toronto’s first mosque, established in 1961.
Serving Others: Memoirs of Muslim Seniors
A documentary highlighting the life histories of several Muslim seniors active in their communities.
Neglected Voices
A presentation of four short films about Muslim youth who are at risk of being marginalized.
Giving Ourselves a Voice
A workshop in professional media training for young Muslim filmmakers, which culminated in the development of two short videos.
